What was/is your first impression of the book?

If you have read this book, what was your impression before you read it?

If you haevn't, what is your current impression?

My first impression was thinking it was going to be about cowboys vs. indians in the wild west, and not about the stress and drama of a highschool indian with brain problems. It was a pleasant surprise, though.
